Mr. Ed Graham
Welcome to the Offaly School of Special Education. We are a co-educational school for pupils who have been assessed as having a moderate or severe/profound learning disability aged between 4 and 18. We endeavour to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for our pupils and assist them in reaching their full potential. Through carefully planned individual educational programmes we aim to foster independence, respect and social independence, thus preparing, as far as possible, each student for their adult life. Our mission statement learning for everyone is reflected throughout our school in our teaching approaches. We are committed to ensuring that all our pupils have access to a well rounded education both academic and social.

Fundraiser - 5-A-Side Soccer Tournament

Offaly School of Special Education (OSSE) held a fundraising event on Saturday the 12th of March at Leah Victoria Park, the home of Tullamore soccer. The 5-A-Side Tournament was organised to raise funds for recreational resources and activities for the students at OSSE.
The school caters for children, aged between 4 and 18, from all over Offaly, who have been assessed as having a moderate, severe or profound learning disabilities or Autism. Currently located in a temporary building in Kilcruttin Business Park, awaiting a purpose-built school, the much-needed monies raised will be used to fund various leisure activities designed to bring great enjoyment to the forty-two students currently enrolled there.
The event was greatly supported by local businesses and the wider community throughout the county and beyond. Seven teams participated in the tournament and a crowd of supporters attended to what was a very enjoyable and successful event.
The final tally is expected to exceed €15,000 with sponsorship and donations still coming in, all of which are greatly appreciated by Principal Ed Graham and the staff and students at Offaly School of Special Education.
